All families are experiences stress on their pocketbooks with today’s economy. For those couples preparing to welcome a child into the family, there are new expenses to consider for the present as well as the future. Buy some insurance. Before starting a family, you need to be sure you have adequate insurance in place for your health, life, income and property. If something were to happen to you or your spouse, how would your family maintain its standard of living?
Save for college now. Even though 18 years sounds like a lot of time, before you know it, your child will be getting ready to leave for college. Consult with a financial professional to determine how much to save and where to invest that money so that you will be ready financial when the child is ready to start college.
